How would you differentiate homosexuality and pedophilia?

Before I start, I am neither trying to bash homosexuality or defend pedophilia. I am personally an avid supporter of gay rights. Pedophilia is essentially going against the norm of social behavior. A while ago, homosexuality was the same thing. Clearly there are different circumstances in these things involving consensual relationships. I seem to remember somewhere that pedophilia was correlated with mental problems? Just pointing out that they did think homosexuality was a mental problem. Again, I am a supported of gay rights, and I do not support pedophilia. I was merely curious.
