Does the legal age of sexual consent applicable in the country of the minor cover intimate discussions?

I started talking to someone who is a friend of a friend online. We got on really well and flirted a little, as far as i knew she was 19 (im 24) but a couple of conversations got very intimate and after this i found out she is only 17. Now where i live the age of consent is 16 but where she lives it is 18. Is it possible for me to get into trouble for this because of their consensual age or not?
